Izzy is 6 months old. We took her to Asheville for dad’s 60th bday. It was a blast. She went on a 6 mile hike and loved it (not walking of course). She has her first Halloween today. Yesterday I took her to work and she trick or treaters with Read more…

Izzy is over 5 months now. She is a very inconsistent sleeper. The progress she has made with her movements and strength is impressive though. She can basically sit up, she can stand up if she has something to hold on to, and she can easily roll over. 

Izzy is sick for the first time. It’s scary, and she only has a fever. She can also roll over, front to back and back to front, on her own. The hurricane is through new Bern, it was worst hurricane there since we’ve lived there. I hope nothing else happens Read more…

Quote for Izzy: Let your smile change the world, not the world change your smile.  Izzy ate “solid” food last night for the first time as I fed her from a spoon. She was feigning for it and not happy when it was gone.

Izzy just rolled over by herself. I wasn’t watching but she did it. Then she rolled back over. I knew I was going to miss it when she did it. 

Izzy just slept until 9 am. It was amazing. She’s also sleeping now without her 8 different swaddles. She has more swaddles than a daycare, and now she doesn’t need them. 

Izzy is already 4 months old. I’m listening to her cry right now, she’s not in a swaddle and in the crib. Hopefully she stops soon. She’s perfect though, even when she sounds like a wailing monster. She can almost roll over, she’s gotten so much bigger, and she knows Read more…
