This morning, Joe called out for me while I was in the other room – “Daddy, I need you.” I thought, uh oh, he’s pooped on the floor again. I went to find him. He was in the bathroom. I thought, phew, at least he did it on the tile. I pushed the door open, and he was sitting on the toilet, poop was completely in the potty. I was so proud and relieved. It was a large poop as well. Both our kids take massive poops…But I was so happy. He asked me if he could have an m&M, I said of course, then he said, “no, I want popsicle.” The negotiator is real in both Joe and Izzy.
Last night, we had our Wednesday night swim lessons with Mrs. Heleen. She is the best. And both Izzy and Joe have learned so much. Last night, Joe swam at least 15 feet on his own, multiple times, and he just wouldn’t stop. Izzy is making big arm circles really well, we’re working on breathing. The fact is though, I would trust both of them if they fell in the river or ocean to give me time to find and get them. So grateful that they listen to Mrs. Heleen and not me!
Izzy and Joe have also been very sweet lately. Especially Izzy. She’s growing so fast, and I’m just trying to take it in, but lately she’s been telling me she loves me a lot. Joe also will just randomly come up and give me a kiss and tell me he loves me. The best part is, they do that to each other too. They play so well together, almost to a fault, as Joe is very protective over Izzy and vice versa. We’ll see how that plays out.
Anna and I are so lucky to have 2 amazing kids.
