The first post of 2021. Izzy and Joe’s New Year’s Eve was uneventful. Mom and Dad had a huge feast from outback (at 9:30 pm thanks to a 2 hour delay by Outback), courtesy of Aunt G, but other than that, we didn’t do a ton.
In 2021, Izzy has turned into a grown woman. She is talking so much better, it’s like a flip switched overnight. She is doing the “hard” puzzles now pretty easily. And she runs like a cheetah. Tonight, due to my quarantine (yes, I got Covid), we were facetiming for night-night song and prayers. She sang almost the entire Lady Gaga portion of “Shallow”. And it wasn’t like she sometimes sings where you mumble and don’t know the words. She knew the words. She’s getting better and better with that. “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” has become a hit as well.
Joe on the other hand flipped a switch that allowed him to become mobile. He was trying to climb the stairs tonight. He can actually crawl, not just army crawl. He’ll pull himself up on anything (in fact the ability for him to pull himself up in the pack n play and the crib is hurting his naps). He loves the Bosu Ball. He loves the car we got him for Christmas. He just climbs, looks at you, and smiles. Would love to be able to understand what’s going on in that head of his.
Anna is supermom.
