Well Benni has been with us for 6 weeks now, and we had a Christmas to remember, or forget. Izzy got sent home from Small Hand Big Art camp on Tuesday, and she ended up having the Flu. She was better by Christmas, but then Benni Anne got it, and unfortunately that meant a trip to the ER to get prescribed Tylenol and Tamiflu. Luckily she has also recovered quickly. My family was coming in Friday, and they knew we all had the flew, so we stayed outside. We tried to go play putt putt at the High Seas which has an awesome Christmas light course, but the wait was an hour and a half, so we just walked around a neighborhood that had nice lights instead. Then we did our Friday night ritual at Cabo, and we could tell, Joseph, who had declared himself the “last kid standing” wasn’t going to be standing long. The following day, he was down, but Baba, who had also been sick and refusing to test, finally tested. He had it, not from our kids, and Jack, Phillip, and Angie all followed. I made it until last night, but this morning, tested positive, and it will cost be going to the Panthers<>Seahawks game in person. Joseph is having the hardest time with it, he projectile vomited a few minutes ago, and isn’t showing signs of recovery yet. Me and he are currently snuggling on the couch. Now Anna is truly the last person standing, and we’ll see if she makes it out unscathed.

In other news, they still were quite happy with their Christmas presents. Izzy is a maker. She got a 3D pen, which currently has her frustrated because she’s not an expert at it, a ton of arts and crafts, and a camera that spits out old school prints. She’s very happy. Joseph now probably has 1,000+ Pokemon cards, and got some cool things as well. They both got a pop a shot, which they like very much.

Lastly Izzy, when I put her to bed, she likes to say “I’m closing my eyes, but I’m not asleep.” If I can get her to that point, I know I’ve made it.

Until the next, hopefully healthy, update.
