Izzy has taken flight, on her bike that is. We went from not wanting to try, to maybe trying briefly once or twice, to last Friday she was able to ride her bike from our house to Seth’s. It took a little bit of falling, but she got the hang of it pretty good, and yesterday she was even able to get herself started on her own. It’s amazing how fast she’ll pick things up.
In other news, last Sunday, on the ride to see Papa for his birthday, Izzy puked in the car. Then puked again when we got home. ETc. Had to stay home from school last monday, then made us pick her up on Wednesday. I proceeded to make her life not very fun because she essentially faked sick, to which I wound up sick on Thursday. It was miserable. Then….Anna got it too. We had a lot of fun.
Because Anna was sick, I took the kids to the App State men’s bball game Saturday, after their game (where Izzy scored 2 baskets in a row and made a face like yea, I know I’m good, but don’t want to show it. Joe’s defense is legit, and he is a really good passer). App State is pretty good this year, and it was a 2OT thriller. The kids had fun, they played all their favorite songs (We Will Rock You, You Belong With Me, Life is a Highway), and we got lots of candy/popcorn/hot dogs.
