Joe turned 3 today. It was a good day. It started with him getting into our bed at 6:15, which has become a common occurrence. I asked him what today was about 10 min later and he had the happiest face and said my birthday! Sister gave him her part of his present last night, used hot wheel cars. Anna and I gave him the rest this morning, more used hot wheel cars and used rainbow fish books. He didn’t care too much about the books lets just say that.
Today after work, he wanted us to take him to the park, so he could send his cars down the slide. We did that and then went out to dinner. It started with him wanting pizza, so we went to this Italian place close by, but he changed his mind and got spaghetti and meatballs. We had a cookie cake at home for desert.
This is coming after we had Izzy and Joe’s joint birthday party 2 weekends ago. It was a big time, and they got entirely too many presents, some of which were used, which I was very happy with. Their party was at Squirrel Lake Park, and these frogs were hopping around, and they were the smallest frogs I had ever seen. Joe and Izzy had a big time.
Some other non birthday news (or kind of birthday news in some cases:
Joe loves to call me or things “poopyhead” – anything we want to name – Poopyhead. Daddy half the time = Poopyhead.
Joe is potty trained. We ask him to “empty his tank.” He prefers to empty his tank in the yard, including the front yard mainly. The other day, he pooped at the bottom of our back stairs. It was quite large. He was very happy that he pooped outside. He tried to poop outside at the restaurant tonight, we caught him. He proceeds to pee pee in the urinal, and then poop in the potty.
Joe has started to enjoy soccer a bit. Started at Zhuri’s birthday party, and then Dan and NIcole got him a used soccer goal for his birthday. He likes to be goalie and block my shots. He then likes to tackle me american football style while i dribble the ball around.
