Yesterday we took Izzy Ice Skating at the White Water Center. Next year we’ll try it uptown at the knights stadium, but it was fun. Izzy got a lot better from the beginning to the end, but we could have benefited from the “training stand” thing we saw people use in the Netherlands. I think the last time I skated might have been in the Netherlands? Needless to say, I was a little rusty. Izzy fell hard at the end, but it was good timing as we were getting ready to leave. An hour to hour an a half of that fully sufficed as my exercise.

Joe’s potty training is going well. He just pooped on the potty (and we sang the celebration song – “Joe Joe went poopy in the potty…repeat.” He’s part of the Piper Glen Scooter Gang. That consists of Joe, Izzy, Charlie, sometimes Sophie, and Maddie and Eliza joined yesterday. Joe and Charlie fly on those things already, and they aren’t even 3 yet. They also both are learning the bikes. Joe’s gotten way better just this year. Seth and I think someone breaks a bone by 5, we just don’t know who, and I still hope we are wrong.

Joe tells a lot of bad secrets these days (kisses that end in spit kisses). Izzy had a fashion show at school last week, it started promptly, but she did good. Her first basketball game of this year was last week, and she did great. She was laughing, running up and down the court, going for the ball, and playing great defense. She still can’t quite get the shot to the goal, but she’s getting closer. Hopefully she just keeps having fun. I think we might have to play soccer this spring. Definitely going to do art lessons soon as well as swim lessons.

We’re lucky to be able to do all of these lessons, scooters/bikes/ice skating/activities, and do them together. Thankful to everyone who has helped make that a reality, including those that I don’t know.
