Today was Izzy’s birthday. She woke up excited to see her balloons. She told Noni that she always gets balloons for her birthday. She then came downstairs, very excited, and I gave her my present. It was a bracelet that I made her. She was so excited she jumped up and gave me a hug and a kiss. Izzy then proceeded to get lots of presents, so many presents. Before the party, after the party, etc. We did go to church, where the kids behaved better than they have since Joe was born. After that, we got ready for Izzy’s party.

Izzy’s party began with a bang. There were people in our shelter that we had rented, and it got a bit heated between the ladies and Anna. Luckily, that was the biggest bump in the road, besides the fact that I ordered way too much pizza.

The party was at Pineville Park. It’s Izzy’s favorite park. We had the shelter, lots of games, bubbles, karaoke (one of Izzy’s favorite presents so far), etc. We met Izzy’s gymnastics friends Hazel and her brother JB and their parents. Pizza, cupcakes, fruit salad, chips, etc. Did I mention presents?

Joe was a trooper as well. No nap, some presents for him, but just playing and playing, and dumping Max and Harrison’s bubbles on the ground.

We are so lucky to have had 4 awesome years thus far with Izzy. She’s delightful. Her laugh is contagious. Her smile energizing. Her dance moves from her mother. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow, year 5, and many more years have in store for us.
