Every morning, I look at the monitor to see if Izzy is awake yet. A few mornings ago, I did that, and she was not in her bed. I then used the walkie talkie to ask Izzy where she was. I then heard a “I’m on the potty daddy” in response. This was the first time I had seen Izzy leave her room to go to the bathroom herself. Apparently she had started doing that when I took my trip to Colorado. It was a funny but growing moment. We’re still working on wiping our poops for Izzy, but that is coming along. Maybe we can try to get Joe going soon.
Valentine’s day was Monday, and Izzy was very excited when she woke up. She had candy and stamps. Izzy made a card for Mommy for Daddy, and then we took a special midday trip to get flowers, and Izzy picked them out. Her favorites were the yellow flowers.
Yesterday, Izzy practiced her dribbling that Coach Chris taught her how to do. She also asked me when she can do gymnastics again, so we’ll check on that.
As I write this, Izzy is snuggling with me for our morning snuggles. They are the best. She has a runny nose today though, hopefully that will go away.
