So – Anna finally got covid. Somehow, we don’t think Izzy, Joe, or myself has gotten it. Anna was able to go back to work today, and she was able to see the kids and touch them, after being isolated in her room since last friday night. Ultimately, there were 24-48 hours where Anna really didn’t feel well, but she is feeling better now. We’ll see how the next few months go.
Izzy has a new thing that I love – she really likes to snuggle. In the morning, she’ll now come to my bed and snuggle with me, which is nice. She’ll talk, and boy is she talking about things that are legit. Her vocabulary never ceases to amaze me. We watched ratitouille two nights ago, and she’s been talking about that a lot.
Joe now has a jump shot. He’ll actually shoot the ball from a decent distance into his hoop now, and he makes a good amount of them. His dribbling is fun to watch. He’s not at passing or catching either.
Joe is also on the verge of really talking. He is very loud now when he talks. And he’s starting to put words together. He knows how to get me to the right places and then say the word of the thing he wants, and now he’ll pitch fits when I say no. A big one is gummies. He loves his gummies and tootsie rolls.
Joe and Izzy are playing much better together, and they like to play chase with us. Joe will shout “me”, then we chase him (inside or outside). Once we get him, he’ll shout “sista” – and we chase izzy. Once we get her, then they’ll chase me. And so it continues.
Last – a few things I just want to remember – we’ll look at the moon and point our swords (sticks most time) and shout “mooooon”. Joe will make prayer hands a lot. Izzy poops really largely in the toilet and it stinks :).
