Izzy and Joe did not make it to midnight new year’s eve. But they did have a big week/weekend.

We went to Max and Harrison’s. Izzy and Joe sat on the ponies. Izzy got to walk on them a bit and that was all she needed/wanted. They played for a long time there though, I think we will start going there more often.

Izzy has been pitching some major fits, we’re working through it, but those are fun.

Joe is on the fringe of full on talking. Heee can definitely tell you what he wants and doesn’t want. Some of the words/phrases are pretty funny, like when he puts on my Christmas glasses and says “ho ho ho”.

Izzy is talking like a grown up. She told P last night the way to the pool that “he was going to like it there” and says something each day that surprises me. We are still working on our numbers, specifically 13 and 16, but they are coming.

When it comes to the pool, Izzy can swim, she just won’t. Joe has gotten a little more nervous too. Maybe I shouldn’t drop them in alone. They still love swimming though, specifically the slide.

P has been our Manny this week because Alex has Covid (everyone has covid). He’s doing really well. Not sure how much he likes it, but he’s doing a good job.

Lastly, the new favorite game in this house is “chase”. Izzy and Joe will chase me in circles around our living room, and then we’ll chase them. Joe will get me, and then look at himself and say “me, me, me” meaning – chase me.

I wrote this diary while snuggling with Izzy. Morning snuggles.
