Izzy’s 4th Halloween has come and gone. This one was the funnest with the kids by far.

Izzy decided that our family was going to be Winnie the Pooh characters, and she picked the characters for us. She deemed herself Piglet, Joe was Pooh, I was Tigger, and Mommy was “Donkey”, also known as Eeyore.

Anna then owned getting the outfits perfect and I think we had them in August. We only made the Piglet costume, and everyone else had onesies. Anna wants to give them away now, I don’t know why…

For Halloween festivities, we went over to our friends Seth and Sarah’s in Piper Glen, to do Halloween with their kids Charlie (Joe’s age – he was a penguin), and Sophie (newborn – she was a unicorn – did you know that Unicorns poop candy corn? I learned that this halloween thanks to a card Aunt G got Izzy). Their neighborhood does Halloween right.

Every 5th house or so had full-size candy bars, or the equivalent of pre-packaged little candy. To go with that, about the same ratio of houses was offering adult beverages to the adults. In one of the couldesacs they also had a hay-ride station, a dance party with a dj + fog and bubble machines, and a fully stocked open bar. It was un real.

Izzy was a very good big sister / selfish big sister as she made sure that every house gave us candy for both her and her little brother Pooh. Pooh wasn’t too interested in going up to the houses himself. When we got back to our neighborhood, we hit the few houses on our street, and then went and ate more candy. Don’t think this candy is going to last too long though, Izzy needs to hit more houses next year.
