Where do I start. Maybe with that I feel awful today, something I blame on Izzy, which likely she got in dance class (she learned a move called the “butterfly” this week), which I signed her up for. Joe has it too. Luckily, Izzy’s covid test was negative, so that’s good.

Izzy and Joe are both changing so much. We go to parks a lot these days, and Izzy is no longer a stranger. She’ll run up to other kids, ask them there name, try to hold their hand, play with them for an hour, and when we leave and I ask her what her friend’s name was – she always says – “I don’t know”. She is also getting much better at climbing the different things at parks. Joe too, he’s all about the slides, and loves playing with kids as well.

On the Izzy front, knock on wood, but I think we may be fully potty trained. We are doing #1 and #2 in the potty, and we are sleeping in normal underwear at night. We’ll see if this continues, but that’s been a big step.

Last one on Izzy, she has started missing her mommy in the mornings, and thus not wanting to get out of bed. She sleeps in more, but then will just lay there awake for like 15-20 minutes. Hopefully she isn’t depressed.

In Joe’s world, he has started pointing at and identifying animals, and making the accompanying sounds. It’s pretty fun to see, and his favorite is the elephant noise.

He also has taken to just jumping off things, sometimes belly flopping or face planting on the floor. He’ll do that, then get right back up, and do it again. The boy is full of energy too, and has already cut way back on nap time.

Anna and I went to big Joe’s wedding 2 weeks ago, and it was a blast. It was in Milwaukee, weather was great, wedding was great, my speech was great 🙂 . It was just a really good time and I’ve missed doing things like that. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll get to do something like that for a while now because of Covid. But it was good while it lasted. I made a $100 from billy at the cork shooting game, purely luck by “ringing the bell”. TIme to ring the bell here!
