Well – that was a week/weekend. We spent the week getting the house and yard in order. Our yard actually looks decent, although our back porch decided to start falling apart. We also spent Thursday and Friday night putting together a trampoline…fair warning…it’s not easy. I still have part of my finger healing.

We had to move Izzy’s actual birthday party due to the weather (it was supposed to be on her actual birthday, 4/24). But Noni, Baba, P and Aunt G came on Friday night, and we had a blast on Saturday. We were able to jump on the trampoline in the morning before it rained, and Izzy loved it. Her reaction to it was priceless. We then opened up presents, basically all day long. Until the afternoon, where we had decided we just had to put a tree swing up. Which was another experience, but then she also loved. Joe also loves the trampoline and the swing. The look on their face when they are having fun with something is priceless, and I could care less if they use it another time. Izzy and Noni made a cake (a third cake – we also had a baptism cake and Izzy’s first birthday cake) – more on this later.

On Sunday, we managed to do Joe’s baptism and Izzy’s birthday party. Joe’s baptism went well, he walked around and talked the whole time. Anna got him a white suit, I think he might not wear it again. Angie and Phillip were the godparents. Then we went home and straight to Izzy’s birthday party. More presents, more trampoline, more swing, and lots of Izzy chugging water. She also loves it when you sing happy birthday to her, even though she tries to grab the cake the whole time.

On Sunday night, for dinner, I had 3 pieces of cake (technically one of them was a cupcake) and ice cream. I had a big stomachache. Then for dinner tonight, 3 pieces of fried chicken. Maybe after two more days like this, I’ll be able to get rid of the leftovers.

Time flies fast. Izzy is three and two days already. Joe turns 1 in less than a month. Only 13 more years and Izzy can drive again.
