Easter Sunday was 4/4/2021 – and we had a good time. It was our first easter without Nana O. – who we typically would spend Easter with – and we missed her. But Izzy and Joe kept us busy at Marny and Poppas. We got to do an Easter Egg Hunt with their cousins, Caroline, Lala, and Mathias. Izzy did great, until she got tired and wanted to only play inside. Instead of the bounce house in the basement, she preferred cooking in the kitchen. Heck, maybe I’ll have a personal chef the next few years. We watched mass online again, I think we are almost done with that but we do enjoy Father Dave, and we talked with Izzy about all the things we are so thankful for.
On Good Friday, I got my second Covid shot – Moderna – and I was sick all day Saturday. It was worse for me than when I actually had Covid. Luckily we were at Marny and Poppas so I was able to lay in bed and sleep/read a book (I’m almost through the Percy Jackson series) all day long before watching the Final Four that night. Houston lost :(, but the Gonzaga/UCLA game was great.
Last night, Joe and I discovered a new game. He loves taking the big, regulation sized basketball, and slam dunking it in to the laundry basket. His concept of putting things into baskets I think started on disc golf course, where he’ll drop the disc into the basket like he’s supposed to, but we played for over 15 min last night with laundry basketball. I’d just roll the ball to different parts of the room, he’d go get it, bring it back, and put it in the basket. He loved it. Still all without walking.
Things are going fast here – Izzy is really growing up and Joe will be walking and talking before we know it.
