This morning, Izzy farted while I was changing her diaper to get dressed. She immediately looked at me, and broke out laughing. “P U Izzy”.

Izzy has made lots of strides the last 2 weeks. She and I went on a run/ride/walk yesterday on the greenway. We probably went almost a mile total. Izzy can run so well now that when she runs I have to either walk really fast or jog to keep her in my site. She loves to run (aside, we also play a game inside where she’ll chase you around, she calls it “wanna get you”). We’ve also been riding her “bike” (aka tricycle). Izzy can actually somewhat pedal the pedals on her own (short bursts or on downhills), but I normally have to push her a little. Think we may have to get a bike for her for Christmas.

The bigger news is that we’ve had a nanny for the last two weeks, and it is going really well. Mrs. Alex is her name. The first day, and potentially the second, Izzy may have told Mrs. Alex to go home, but she really likes Mrs. Alex. They’ve been making arts and crafts (rainbow fish, yellow guy, flowers out of pipe cleaners). Joe loves Mrs. Alex too. She speaks spanish, and has been speaking it to Joe a lot. There is one song, I think it is called “papas” that he really loves. Without finding Mrs. Alex, not sure how I’d still be able to work.

Speaking of Joe, he’s 16 lbs. 1 oz. He’s also rolled over from his stomach to his back (did it for Mrs. Alex, Anna and I still haven’t seen it), but yet to roll over from his back to his stomach (he’s really close). Joe can almost sit up, he smiles a lot more too, as well as started to “talk” (more like coo). He’s sleeping a little better, but issue is he is sleeping in the swing. We’re worried he may get addicted to that, and we may pay the price one day in the near future. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

Only thing I’ve been worried about is Izzy doesn’t see other kids, basically at all. We’ve got some ideas, but need to start to get her out more. That said though, we’re still very lucky.
