Izzy had 2 plays this week. One was for her after school drama class, and that was he Wizard of Oz. Izzy was the Cowardly Lion. Joseph, Papa, and I went on Wednesday afternoon. The highlight to me was when Izzy had to act like she was scared of Oz. She said she was nervous because there were so many people there, but she had one friend in the crowd who made her more comfortable. Joseph, Papa, and I were not that friend.
Then on Friday, Izzy had her 1st Grade Play. It was called “Thanksgiving Parade.” Izzy’s class were the Cranberries, and they sang about not being second fiddle. Izzy smiled a bunch at the people she was standing beside when she would do her choreographed moves. After the play, there was a reception in Izzy’s class, where she had 2 big pieces of cake. Maybe I let her have the second.
Joseph really liked playing soccer. Now he makes me beat him in the front yard in soccer every day. He also makes me beat him in basketball inside, he told me that I wanted a big basketball goal so that I can beat him outside after Christmas. We also play baseball, and Izzy only wants to hit. Joseph is more of a utility player and will hit and field. They both are hitting some really far hits, and they both seem to like it, even though Izzy told me she didn’t want to play softball.
My favorite part of most days is dropping Joseph off at school, because its the only time he gives me a real kiss and a big hug, then we wave at each other through the window. Joseph is pretty popular in his class, all of the kids call his name and come talk to him when we get to school. I think Joseph is excited about being at school with his sister next year.
Izzy and Joseph are very excited about the presents they may get for Christmas. I say may, because right now it is borderline if they will be on the Nice or Naughty list. They better behave, and not lie to us anymore more (Joseph).
