Today I was off for Juneteenth, so we went to Emerald Isle on the point, just Anna, me, and the kids. It was a great day despite me battling a sinus infection. Izzy and I played in the water and she learned how to go under the waves. We all played bocce ball, and then Joe wanted to keep playing and keep playing. We played a bit of volleyball (Izzy went to volleyball camp, and she’s taken to it way more than anything else she’s tried to far), and then we also played some baseball. After these activities, the kids played by themselves in the shallow waves for over 2 hours while Anna and I just sat there/took naps. It was great. We all got a bit too much sun. Tomorrow evening we’ll go on the river and take them tubing. Maybe try waterskiing.
