For the first post of the new year, I get to lead with Disney world. Last weekend, Izzy went “camping” with Marny and Papa. They took the camper down to Florida, where they camped, complete with wifi and thus TV. On Sunday, they went to Disney World, where Izzy met the princesses + Mickey and Minnie, rode Under the Sea (her favorite ride), watched the parade (2x), and saw the fireworks over the castle. She then passed out on the boat ride home. Safe to say she had fun.
Izzy and Joe are very much in “mommy phase.” It’s fun for me. That makes bedtime even easier, because whichever child I get, 75% chance they scream for at least 15 minutes. Phases come, phases go, would be nice if this one went.
When not begging for Mommy, Joe does still come play disc golf with me. I guess I have a bad habit, because when Joe throws a shot he doesn’t like, he claps his hands, shakes his head while looking down and shouts dang it. At least I know better than to curse so far.
Joe and Izzy have also been riding a lot of Bikes and Scooters – Joe particularly. Him and Charlie race up and down the sidewalk between our houses on the scooters, and Charlie just got a bike, so I’m sure they will be cruising up and down the neighborhood soon.
Looks like it is almost official that Izzy will go to Kindergarten at Anna’s school next year. She did really well on all her testing, and she definitely has a personality. She even did well on her sounds of letters, which means she keeps learning. Like a sponge.
First basketball game of the year for Izzy on Saturday, maybe she’ll be able to get the ball to the rim this year!
