Joe has started giving kisses. To the point where, he grabbed my face the other day and kissed me straight on the lips, nice and wet. Then he laughed at me. He will try to kiss everyone, especially Calista when she falls. Maybe all that kissing is wearing him out, because yesterday he took a 4 hour nap, and today he took a 3 hour nap. We also gave him his first hair cut sunday I think. I didn’t want to, but Anna clipped some curls in the bath, that when they dried, it didn’t look so great. So I took out the clippers, gave him a high and tight, and he looked like an Army general…until the next day, when Alex put product in it and gave him a mohawk, which looked awesome. I’m actually a fan of his haircut if I do say so myself.
Isabella is now now in Dance, Gymnastics, and Basketball. Basketball is getting ready to end, we may replace it with Soccer, but also may replace it with Swim Lessons. Her swimming is progressing, we’ve been using a noodle instead of the floaty. Yesterday, all by herself, she probably swam 10 yards, which is more than enough to pass the swim test.
A new favorite of mine is our bedtime song – Sanctuary – “Lord prepare me, to be a Sanctuary, Pure and Holy, Tried and True. with thanksgiving, I’ll be a living, sanctuary, for you.” – repeat 2-3 times. Joe and Izzy both sing it with Anna. The other night we were all in Joe’s bed singing it together, it was special. Painting memories, hope the paint doesn’t fade.
