Joe just climbed up on the couch (holding disc golf discs), looked at me, and said “Hey Dad”!!! Who is this kid?
We’ve had big events since the last post. This past weekend we went to our cousin Max and Harrison’s 7th Bday Party. They live on a farm about an hour from our house. It was great. Izzy caught her first fish, a small brim. Her favorite part was riding in the gator, it took her a little while to get used to it, but then she was screaming “Faster faster”! Izzy fed the horses, cleaned a pony, met the chickens and roosters, and was fascinated by the “mean rooster in time out”.
I played basketball with Max, Harrison, and David. The game featured a turkey getting hit in the head by a basketball and only gobbling as a result, plus Izzy running to give me 4 eggs in the middle of play (we didn’t break any – those eggs were really good to, ate them this morning). We had a really good time.
Yesterday was mother’s day, and I think Anna had a good time. We didn’t do much differently, but the kids slept until 8:30. That was likely the best mother’s day present. We went swimming at Uncle Paul’s and we had Bojangles for dinner.
Last note for today – Joe really likes disc golf discs. To the point where I went to play Saturday, and my putters weren’t in my bag because he’d been playing with them in the house.
We’re growing too fast, I’m trying to remember it all, it’s tough but great. Each day brings something new. Maybe Izzy will poop in the toilet soon.
