We’ve had a long week because both Izzy and Joe have decided to go backwards in their ability and quest to sleep through the night. Izzy will now wake up to bad dreams, most of which involve the “animals getting me”. Joe has his two front teeth coming in full force, and I think they are really bothering him, plus he just seems hungry at night. We are using tylenol + oragel, and he never finishes his pre sleep bottle, but yet he wakes up like clockwork right now (and they are starting to wake each other up to I think.

I also had an incident with Izzy pre Swim Lessons last Wednesday where she told me “I’ll kill you” – it was a shock but I guess she picked it up from the movies she watches. They pick up things fast, and luckily she hasn’t said it again.

Swim Lessons are going really well. We still can’t get her to wear goggles, partially because we bought some cheap ones that don’t fi her well, but she will swim with the teacher a lot now. We practice afterwards until they kick us out of using the noodle. I also saw her high-five the boy in her class. She smiles a lot now in class, which is great. Hoping if we do one more round, that will get her over the hump and swimming on her own. We just started gymnastics on top of the dance and swim. lessons, so stay tuned.

My prediction for Joe walking is within the next month (before he’s 11 months old). He’s really close, and I think he could if he was willing to fall. We’ll see – but he is very fast and still likes to get his workout in on the stairs. Maybe he’ll be sleeping by then ;)!
