It’s been a while since I’ve wrote here. A lot has happened.
Our family was exposed to COVID, so we quarantined for the past 2 weeks. Luckily, the folks who we were exposed to have recovered and seem to be doing ok. We took multiple tests and they all came back negative.
That said, update on the Izzy front, around the same time we were exposed, she got a cold (we think it was because she saw our neighbors grandson for 5 min). All she wanted to do was hold his hand and hug him (not a good sign of my future in 10 years). He turns around and has snot dripping out of his nose. O well. That cold proceeded to go to me and Joe, so although we were negative, there was a time we thought we may have had it.That said, we are all healthy and good to go now! We did have to go 2 weeks without our nanny while both Anna and I worked, and that was a little difficult. But we got through it.
In that week, Joe decided he was going to be able to roll over. He can now go pretty easily front to back. We’ve also brought out some of Izzy’s old toys that he can hang in (eventually jump in), as well as a walker. He likes hanging in the jumper and swinging. Pretty soon he’ll be sitting up. He’s talking a lot more too. Where is the time going! I also worry I’m not remembering as much/taking it in, but then I also try to remember when Izzy did these things, and I can’t. Thankfully we have tons of pictures and videos – oh technology!
Speaking of pictures, if you look at a pictures of Joe now and Izzy from when she was Joe’s age, you can’t tell the difference, at all, it’s scary. But at the end of the day, they are both pretty perfect so far.
