My first few days of daddy day care are in the books (it is currently nap time as I write this), and my first few days of being 30 are also in the books.
Daddy day care is going well so far. It is tough work though. Izzy hasn’t been sleeping great which makes things more difficult during the day. That said, I’ve been able to get both Izzy and Joe down for naps at the same time each day, which gives me about an hour to regroup.
Izzy has been big into puzzles lately, and she can put them together all by herself (up to a certain level). Part of me thinks she is memorizing the puzzles, which is impressive in itself. She also has enjoyed playing with her bears in their tree house lately, which is an old toy just now getting some love (we have soooo many toys).
Joe is a new baby vs. the one that came to us 3 months ago. He’s starting to get a little chubby, and I think he looks like my dad right now (lord help him).
We had a nanny back out on us last week, so we are actively hunting for a nanny. Anna isn’t ready to send them to daycare yet, and I don’t blame her. Hopefully we can find a nanny this week so we can introduce her next week before I start work.
