Izzy is the best big sister. She loves to give Joe is “Pise-pas” (paci), as well as give him hugs and kisses. Sometimes I’m a little scared because she is so big beside him. It’s like bringing Joe home made Izzy double in size in my eyes.
We’re doing well as a family of 4. Two nights ago, Joe had a really rough night, but last night was better. Plus we had Anna’s mom (Marmy) here to help us with Izzy and Joe, which made a big difference. Joe has a pretty strong neck. If you aren’t careful when you do tummy time with him, he’ll give you a nice headbutt.
Izzy’s continuing to do new things everyday, on top of being a big sister. Today she sang her ABC’s all the way through. She also helped me put together a real minnie/mickey mouse puzzle (sometimes she gets a little frustrated when she can’t do things). On our walks, she’ll pick leaves and give them to us. Last night we took our first walk as all 4 of us around the neighborhood, and she picked a leaf for Joe. Anna also made it the whole walk which was impressive.
With every day that comes, we experience new things. I try to memorize her smile and her laugh, as well as Joe’s face when he looks at me (I don’t remember Izzy’s that well without looking at pictures from 2 years ago). I wish I could just scroll through them in my mind, but that’s what cameras are for! Here’s to today, to tomorrow, and to all our many blessings.
