Let’s see – where did I leave off. We got to Alyeska in the afternoon. It’s basically just a nice hotel at a ski resort. We swam in the pool (Izzy pooped out of her diaper in the pool and I scooped it up with my hand), rode the tram to the top (the views were ok), and then we had dinner. The next morning we were able to sleep in a little, had breakfast, and began our drive to Denali. We got to tongen lake in the afternoon after stopping to barely see the top of the mountain. The next morning we had to get up early to catch the bus up Denali. It was a tourist thing for sure. I left Anna and Izzy though because it was a 6 hour drive (with all the stops). We saw moose, caribou, doll sheep..I swear I saw a grizzly and her two Cubs (and the bus behind us did see them), but I didn’t say stop because I had already seen a bush moose. We met Anna and Izzy at kitishna, and then we flew out on a small plane. The view of the mountain incredible from the plane. We flew right beside it. And then the glaciers. It was just pure beautiful. That night (last night) we went to a dinner show. The food was spectacular. Show was good too, especially for Alaska. We drove to Fairbanks today and we on our flight now. We just saw the peak of Denali again, this time from above. Hopefully we get some sleep on the flights and make it home safe. What a trip.
